If you still think baby powders are used for babies alone, then this post is for you!
Today I’ll be rounding up some of the most genius ways you can use baby powder to take your beauty game to the next level and save yourself some good cash too.
Let’s get right into it!
1) As a dry shampoo.
You can use baby powders as a cheap alternative for dry shampoos. Part your hair into small sections, sprinkle powder on your roots and allow to sit for 10-15 secs. It helps to absorb scalp oil and grease. Then run a brush through to blend it. Make sure to blend well especially if you have dark hair.
2) For thicker and longer lashes.
If you’re not big on falsies, you don’t have to worry. You can still achieve thick, long lashes using baby powder. Apply mascara as normal and then use a cotton swab to dust baby powder on your lashes. This will help to lengthen and volumize them. Finish off with one or two coats of mascara and you’re good to go!
3) To make lipstick last longer.
Use baby powder between lipstick coats to help your lipstick last longer. Once you apply the first coat of your lipstick, place a thin sheet of tissue against your lips and dust some baby powder on it using your blush brush. Apply one final coat of lipstick and say hello to long-lasting matte lips.
4) As a setting powder.
Once you’re done with your makeup, dust some baby powder on your face using a large powder brush. This works to absorb any excess oil thus preventing you from looking too dewy. Make sure you use just a little quantity to keep it as translucent as possible.
5) As a waxing relief.
If you wax at home, remember to grab a bottle of baby powder next time and apply to the areas you want to wax. It absorbs moisture thus allowing the wax to adhere to the individual hairs and they come off more easily. Plus its cooling effect helps to soothe the skin after.
6) To remove excess shine.
We all know how annoying it can be when the excess oil from our face ruins our flawless makeup. But it seems those days are over now! Just swirl your powder brush in a bit of baby powder, tap off any excess and dust on your face to get rid of an oily t-zone without messing your makeup.
And that’s it!
