Hey guys, another review up! Today I will be sharing my thoughts on the LA Girl Matte Flat Finish Pigment Gloss in ‘Rebel’.

This collection boasts of 16 different shades and according to LA girl cosmetics,

These 16 bold shades provide rich, intense color in a flat finish for all day wear. The long wearing formula goes on as a high pigmented liquid and dries to a flat matte finish. Leaving lips colored in gorgeous velvety perfection that last and lasts.

Rebel is a gorgeous berry colour that’s a perfect dupe for Dose of Colors “Berry Me”. I personally love this shade. Definitely one of my go-to lip colours.

The packaging is pretty standard, nothing too fancy. It comes in an acrylic tube complete with a nice stiff doe foot applicator which does quite a decent job when it comes to application.

While the formula is a bit liquidy on application, it dries down to a flat matte finish once set (takes about a minute or less). Rebel is very pigmented with amazing colour payoff even in just one swipe. Another huge plus is that it is not drying at all but you might want to exfoliate first or use a lip balm to avoid emphasizing the lines on your lips . It also does not have any scent or taste which I feel is good especially for peeps who have scent preferences.

Oh my! This lipstick lasts forever. Like literally. Lol. But seriously though, Rebel has a very impressive staying power. In fact I’d call it ultra-matte. It lasts for more than 6 hours and even after eating and drinking, it doesn’t go anywhere. No bleeding, no smudges, no transfer. Well unless you take a greasy meal, then it may start to feel a bit (a teeny-weeny bit) tacky but it’s nothing that can’t be overlooked. You will definitely need an oil-based makeup remover to successfully get this off your lips but if you don’t have one, the good ole olive oil should do the trick.

I purchased mine from online beauty store Yanga Beauty for N1,500 but it should also be available at any beauty retail store near you. Otherwise, you can just order directly from the LA Girl website.

I LOVE this product and I’m definitely repurchasing. I can’t wait to try out the other shades in the collection especially Timeless and Backstage. Hopefully they won’t disappoint either. In all, I’d rate this lipstick a whooping 9/10! It’s great value for your money any day.

Have you tried this? If so, feel free to share your experience in the comments!
